Zella (Campean) Begin was my grandmother on my mother's side. She married Honore Begin early in the 20th. century. I don't have much biographical data on her, unfortunately; except she died early from cancer and, I believe, in the state of New York. I believe she was born in Quebec, Canada, possibly in Three Rivers. I am not sure.
I don't have any more information at the moment. Most of the immediate family is either dead or simply not available.
However, I will strive to improve this site when information does become available.
The photograph in the upper-right hand corner is that of my grandmother, the only one available at the moment. I have gone through several hundred photographs of the family, on both sides, and still have several hundred more to examine.
This photograph was taken apparently with a "box camera" shortly before her death in 1948 or 1949 and, according to my mother, while in the state of New York.
By the way, she looks remarkably like her daughter, Blandine Y. (Begin) Parks, who had died from the same cancer and approximately at the same age.
