Fallen Asleep

The Tuttle community in general and particularly Tuttle Christian church mourn the loss of one of their most loyal and consecrated Brethren, Judge George A. Hosey. Mr. Hosey answered the call to enter into that rest that awaits the people of God on the evening of Dec. 29, 1928; only a few days short of 9 months after his wife Mrs. Sarah Mauney Hosey passed away. Mr. Hosey lived to a ripe old age.

During his childhood in the state of Kentucky, where he was born, also the states of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma where he grew up and spent his life, he was always exemplary in his life and always deeply interested in matters relative to the progress of the community and the kingdom. He put first things first. He experienced no greater joy than seeing the civic pride of his community high and souls won to Christ. As a Christian, he was exemplary, as a man a faithful leader, as a citizen true and elevating in his influence. Since his wife died, he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. R.M. Medford of Oklahoma City, until he grew tired living without her, whence he went to be reunited in that land where there is no separation.

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church Sunday afternoon by Fred A. Sharon pastor of the church, and G. Lysle Smith, a former minister of the church, and the great host of relatives and friends that attended, testified to the esteem in which the departed was held. He rests from his labors and his works follow.
R. A. Sharon.
