Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Deaun Clyde Haueter, passed away in Salt Lake City October 24, 1991 the victim of cancer.

She was born in Heber City, Utah August 20, 1921, the daughter of Luella VanWagoner and Robert Earl Clyde. She graduated from Wasatch High School and enrolled in the nursing program at the Salt Lake County Hospital, and later with the BYU Training Program.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, holding various positions until poor health prevented her from continuing.

She was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and in the Utah Peace Officers Auxiliary for many years, serving in a number of positions, and also served a two year calling as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple.

She married William Ray Haueter in Heber City, January 22, 1940; this was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She is survived by her husband, and seven daughters, Terry Glad, Salt Lake City; Dixie Thayne and Dianne Simpkins, Draper; Linda

Hardy, Bluffdale; Judy Jackson, Evanston, Wyo.;

Carole Arrington, Murray; and Susan Johnson, Santa Clara; one brother, William Clyde, Mesa, Ariz.; sisters, Margeret Rasband, Heber City; Eva

Lewis, Sierra Vista, Ariz; Sammy Beck, Holladay; 33 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Monday, October 28, 1991, at the Brighton 1st Ward, 3001 East 7800 south. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East 7600 South, Sunday, from 6-8 p.m. and at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. the day of the service.

Interment, Midway Cemetery.
