John J. Krieger was born in Riverton (township of Buffalo), Franklin, Nebraska January 1, 1881 to John W. (Johannes) and Katherine Ritter Krieger. He married Pearl E. Shafer October 26, 1904 in McFarland, Wabaunsee, Kansas at the home of her mother, Hattie Shafer. John and Pearl were the parents of Clarence, Helen (McGuire), Hazel and Marjorye (Rogers). John J.was initiated into Beacon Masonic Lodge of Missouri in 1914. He affiliated with the Hobart Lodge Dec. 11, 1920. He was a member in good standing with the lodge. He received his fifty year membership on June 21, 1964. He was a member of Royal Arch Masons, The Royal Arch Select Masons and The Knights Templar.
They owned and resided in Komalty from April 1916 on property:
Lots 3 and 4 and S 1/2 NW 1/4 of Sec 3-6N-17W
(corner of E1370 Rd and N2240 Rd)
after John J. retired with the Rock Island Railroad from St. Louis as a supervisor.
