Patrick Riordan was born 17 Mar 1837 in Mitchelstown, County Cork, Ireland. The son of John Riordan and Margaret Sullivan. Patrick Riordan was baptized on 29 March 1837 in Mitchelstown, County Cork, Ireland

Patrick Riordan and Maggie Devan were the first couple married the the new church in Chapman . It is in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Chapman. That stone church was destroyed in the tornado of June 2008. Patrick and Margaret Riordan were the parents of 13 children.
