Bobby Gene Frye was born on June 5, 1951 in Okinawa, Japan as one of three children born to DeWaine and Tsuruko Shirado Frye and departed this life at his home in Ava on October 11, 2008 at the age of 57 Years 4 Months and 6 Days. Bob graduated high school in Japan and shortly there after moved with his family back to his father's home town of Ava. A quiet individual Bob enjoyed watching his younger brother play high school football after moving here and always enjoyed watching all kind of athletics. Bob liked fishing and hunting but most of all he enjoyed following the nieces and nephews in there athletics and lives as they grew up. Bob is survived by his sister Mary Ann Ray of the home and his brother Jimmy and wife Lana Frye of Sullivan; he is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Dr. Sarah Frye, Aaron Ray, Erica King, Alyssa Laramie, Chris Frye, Nick Frye, Austin Frye, and Bryant King, and a host of other relatives. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 2:00 P.M. in Clinkingbeard Chapel with burial to follow in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 till 2 in the funeral home.
