Frankie Calvin Reynolds, 65, Toronto Lake, Kansas, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas, following complications from heart surgery.

He was born May 7, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas, to Calvin and Odessa (Aubrey) Reynolds.

He married Jody Wells on Sept. 3, 1968, in Medicine Lodge, KS. She survives.

The Reynoldses own and operate Hilltop Grocery, Bait and Cafe on the lake.

Frank was raised in the Baptist Church.

He was active with Ducks Unlimited and the Fredonia V.F.W.

Other survivors include his mother, Odessa Dougherty, Garden City, KS; a stepdaughter, Eva Shaddox, Wichita, KS; a daughter, Ellie Reynolds, Eureka, KS; a son, Shane Reynolds, Toronto, KS; a sister, Johnanna Borden, Garden City, KS; two brothers, Johnny Sittingdown, Alva, OK, and Tommy Reynolds, Berea, KY; two stepsisters, Pat Watts and Peggy Hall, both of Littcarr, KY; 6 grandchildren, Shaena Shaddox of Emporia, KS; Micha Granger of Eureka, KS; Brandi Shaddox of Kingman, KS; Storm Reynolds of Eureka, KS; Alysen Ethridge of Eureka, KS; and Walter Reynolds of Toronto, KS; and one great-grandchild, Audrey Ziegler of Kingman, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Reynolds.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be at Hilltop Grocery on Toronto Lake.

Arrangements are under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home.
