Shirley Louise (Toler) Gates McFalls is the eldest child belonging to Eugene Columbus Toler and Martha Jane "Janie" (Harris) Toler.
Shirley's first husband was James "Russell" Gates, Sr., the father of her three children; Richard "Ricky" Curtis Gates, Theresa Jane (Gates) Pedigo and James Russell "Rusty" Gates, Jr.; grandmother of Elizabeth "Amber" (Gates) Holobaugh (Ricky), James "Micah" Gates (Ricky), James Russell "Randy" Gates, (Rusty) and Jacob "Jake" William Gates (Rusty).
Shirley's second husband was Thomas John "TJ" McFalls, to whom she was married to for over 30 years.

Shirley Louise McFalls, 70, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008.
Shirley was born September 29, 1938, in Halo, Georgia. She moved to Pensacola while still a baby with her parents Eugene Toler and Martha Jane Toler, and attended Pensacola High School.
Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas John "TJ" McFalls, children, Richard "Ricky" Gates, Theresa Pedigo (Barry), and Russell "Rusty" Gates (Sherry), and four grandchildren, stepson, Thomas McFalls, Jr., and wife, Irene McFalls, sisters, Barbara Toler Hohaus Trawick and Linda Toler Meadows West, including two step grandchildren, and seven step great-grandchildren.
Shirley accepted Jesus Christ as her savior on July 17, 1970, and dedicated her life to the Christian Ministry. Her ministry encompassed four years in Baltimore, Maryland, two years in Lucedale, Mississippi, two years in Lakeland, Florida, and 22 years in Milton, Florida. Her legacy is well known by many in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the Pensacola area and beyond.
A memorial dedication to her life will be observed at the Milton Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, 5696 Berryhill Rd. in Milton, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2008. Scott Drake will be officiating.
