Carl D. Wilfong, 84, of Flora, died at 7:27 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 1998, at Clay County Hospital, Flora.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1,1998, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Louisville. Burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery, Louisville. The Rev. Rollie Meyer will officiate at the services. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frank and Bright Funeral Home, Flora, and after 12 (noon) Friday until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church building fund or the Flora Public Library.
Mr. Wilfong was born on Oct. 19, 1913, in Wayne County, the son of William Wesley and Inez (Spicer) Wilfong. He married Norma L. Milleville on 11 Jun 1940 Champaign Co, IL 1940. He was an area accountant and affiliated with St. John's Lutheran Church, Louisville.
Surviving are his widow, Norma of Flora; two sons and daughter-in-law, . . . ; two daughers and sons-in-law, . . . ; two brothers, William Wilfong of South Whitley, Ind., and Charles Wilfong of Goshen, Ind.; three sisters, . . . , and Annabelle Snyder of Bippus, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
