Floyd David Poertner Sr., 73, Pacific, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003.
Mr. Poertner was born April 18, 1930, in Pacific, the son of August Poertner and wife Frances, nee Floyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie Poertner, nee Valdespino; one daughter, Mary Elodeen; three brothers, Elmer, Ralph and John Poertner; one sister, Melba Powell; and one granddaughter, Connie Marie Poertner.
Mr. Poertner is survived by two daughters, Gloria Bowen and husband Joe, Windfall, Ind., and Brenda McCubbins and husband Bobby, Cadet; two sons, Floyd Poertner Jr., Farmington, and Daniel Poertner and wife Penny, St. Clair; two sisters, Virginia Brockmier, Rolla, and Mable Griffith, St. Louis; one brother, Marvin Poertner, Madison, Wis.; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 25, at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific.
Interment was in Pacific City Cemetery, Pacific.
