His father Mark Weygandt was a very noted mountain guide on Mt. Hood, so Myron was an active skier, hiker and involved in many things pretaining to the out of doors in the Hood River Valley area and Mt. Hood. He was one that was instrumental in getting Cooper Spur Ski Area up and running after the war.
He married Barbara Maxine Moore of Hood River, where they resided first in town and later in the Pine Grove area.
