Television Personality. He was arguably the most popular host on Danish television in his time, where he was synonymous with light entertainment. His quiz-shows and a long number of family shows made him a favourite with audiences, and the Queen of Denmark made him a Knight of Dannebrog. Besides his work on television he translated hundreds of popular American and English songs into Danish. In 1987 he retired after 42 years' service with Radio Denmark.
