Robert F. ‘Rob' Allen II, 35, and Jennifer L. ‘Jenni' (Redman) Allen 28, both of Georgetown, passed away at 5:50pm on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008.

Rob was born in Danville on Aug. 19, 1973, the son of Harriette (White) and Robert F. Allen. Jennifer was born in Danville on Feb. 9, 1980, the daughter of Don and Marcia (Gustus) Redman.

Survivors include; Jennifer's parents, Don and Marcia, of Danville; her brother, Jason (Lauren) Redman of Urbana; her grandmother; Joyce Redman, of Oakwood; three uncles; James Gustus of Kansas, Bruce (Cindy) Redman of Oakwood, David (Marlen) Redman of Georgetown; and her aunt Sylvia Redman of Texas.

Rob is survived by his mother, Harriette; two half-brothers, Steve (Shane) Allen of Virginia and Dennis Allen of Clinton, Ind.; and his half-sister; Barbara Robertson of Indianapolis. Also surviving Rob are his three aunts; Carolyn Saltsgaver of Perrysville, Ind., Phyllis Brooks of Georgetown, and Nancy (Dennis) Cooper of New York; his uncle, Rodney (Norma) Brooks of Tilton; as well as many of their extended family and friends.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Don Redman Sr., and her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Catherine Gustus. Rob is preceded in death by his father, Robert Forrest Allen; his uncle, Bob Brooks; his aunt, Pam Glover; and his maternal grandparents; Harry and Ida White.

Rob was a 1991 graduate of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School and worked at Hawkeye Food Co. in Danville. Jennifer was a 1998 graduate from Danville High School and worked at North Ridge Middle School in Danville as a secretary.

Both Rob and Jennifer attended Eastern Illinois University. They enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, yard work, traveling, watching and attending sporting events, and being with their family and friends. They will be missed by all who knew them.

A celebration of the lives of Rob and Jennifer Allen is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown with internment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Pastors Justin Weber and Raymie Gordon will officiate the service. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville.
