Phyllis E. Hiatt
Phyllis E. Hiatt, 92, of Dugger, passed away at 1:45 PM Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital.
She was born in Dugger, Indiana February 21, 1917 the daughter of Louis Beck and Alice Borders Beck.
Phyllis married Earl "Curly" Hiatt June 17, 1938. She was a member of the Bethel Community Church in Dugger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl "Curly" Hiatt in 1984, one son, Francis "Gene" Hiatt, two sisters, Frances Grontkowski, and Anna Mae Norris, also two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Survivors include one son, Paul Hiatt, (Nancy) of Linton, three daughters, Sandra Strickland of Georgia, Earlena Mason (Bill), and Karen Franklin, (Eddie) all of Linton, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 6, 2009 at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Rev. Cletus Bough officiating. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.
