Lester Henry Carr II, 59, formerly of Rochester, died Nov 30, 1998 at 4: 07 p.m. at the John Peter Smith Memorial Hospital, Ft. Worth, TX, following an extended illness.

Lester was born Jan 21, 1939 in Rochester, to Lester Henry and Effie Burkett Carr. Both preceded him in death. He lived most of his life in the Fulton County area prior to moving to Ft. Worth 2 1/2 Years ago.

On March 7, 1957, he married Betty Clupper in Plymouth. She preceded him in death in 1991. Lester was a self employed over the road truck driver for over 30 Years. He had attended the 1st Church of God, Rochester.

Lester is survived by one daughter, Tina Kay of Arlington, TX; one step daughter, Cathy France of Wabash; four sons, Lester Henry Carr III, Robert Gene Carr of Lagro, IN, Leslie 'Punkie' Carr of Wabash, and Linley Linnie 'Lynn' Carr of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Thomas of Annargo, IL; one brother Rolland and Margaret Carr of Argos; and nieces and nephews.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Carr; and one brother, Marion Bud Carr.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec 5, 1998, from 9a.m. to 11a.m. prior to the services at the Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester. Graveside services will be Saturday, Dec 5, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in Rochester. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery. Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of arrangements.
