Unconfirmed sources give Cornelius Carmack as the son of Cornelius Carmack Sr. B. June 18, 1736 Frederick Co, MD D. July 18, 1824 Overton Co., Tenn and Margery Jane Evans (1736-1795)m. 26 Oct 1756 Frederick Co., MD. Cornelius Carmack, Sr. was son of William and Jane Carmack ("Earliest Records of All Saints'Parish, Frederick, MD 1727 to 1781"). His bro., William, submitted their father's records with his Rev. War Pension Application which listed the brothers and sisters as: Cornelius Carmack, b. 8 Jan 1759; William Carmack, b. 5 Jan 1761; Joseph Carmack, b. 11 Apr 1763; Jane Carmack, b. 7 June 1765; Sarah Carmack, b. Aug 1767.
Both William and Cornelius say they were born in Frederick Co., MD; but lived in Montgomery Co. (now Washington Co), Virginia at the time of enlistment. Cornelius Carmack applied Oct 30, 1832 in Overton Co., Tenn and his bro., Wm Carmack, applied Oct 15, 1832 in Lee Co., VA
Cornelius Carmack's dau, Mary Carmack, married Henry Gore and he is living in Henry Gore's household in the 1840 census of Overton Co., TN. He is listed as 82 and a Rev.War Soldier.
