Ashley Elizabeth Holmes, 25, of Hartselle passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 20, 1983, in Morgan County to Glynn Franklin Holmes and Dana Elizabeth Dobbs Holmes. Ashley graduated from Hartselle High School in 2001, as a member of the National Honor Society. She attended the University of Alabama and Calhoun Community College. She worked full time at Pat's Poodle Parlor out of her love of animals. She was also a server at Sedona's Steak House out of her love of people. If she waited your table, you would agree. Everyone who met Ashley commented that she was one of the sweetest people they knew. She had a big heart and loved her family with every beat of that heart. As Ashley requested many times, her organs were donated in hopes of giving others the chance at life that she lost.
If you knew Ashley, please join us at her service. Her funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at Fairview Church of God in Falkville at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Matt Holmes and wife, Michelle, of Danville; nieces, Kaitlyn and Kylee Holmes of Danville; and grandparents, Cozie Holmes and Dan Dobbs, both of Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary (Jackie) Dobbs and Luther Holmes.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs, Jeffrey Dobbs, Jason Holmes, Scott Holmes and Michael Reed.
