Funeral Is Today For Mrs. Penner
DALLAS - Mrs. Maria Fast Penner, 75, passed away at her home in Dallas on Thursday afternoon, November 23, after an Illness of six and one-half months. Funeral services will be held at the Henkle and Bollman chapel here on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. N..C. Swenson, pastor of the Apostolic Faith church, officiating. Interment will be at the local I00F cemetery of Dallas, Oregon.

Mrs. Penner was born in the village of Lichtfeld, South Russia, on December 9, 1863. She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Fast, to the United States in 1874, settling in York county, Nebraska. On February 1, 1883, she was united in marriage with Heinrich F. Penner. In 1923 Mr. and Mrs. Penner and family moved to Dallas where the family owned, and operated the Penner Floral Co. Her husband passed away in 1931. She leaves four daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. Elizabeth Schellenberg and Miss Martha Penner, both of Dallas; Mrs. Marie Warkentine of Orland California; Mrs. Katherine Martens of Reedley, California; John M. Penner of Reedley; Henry M Penner of Chico, California; Jacob M. Penner of Waldheim, Canada; and Bert Penner of Dallas. Twenty-six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. One son, Cornelius, died in infancy. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. John Friesen of Dallas, and by one brother, Peter Fast of Dallas.
