Martens Rite Set Tuesday

DALLAS April 26 - Funeral services are to be held Tuesday, April 21, at 2 p.m. from the Henkle & Bollman Funeral home here for Jacob Peter Martens, who died Friday at a Portland hospital.


Born in Cass County, North Dakota, June 13, 1888, he moved to Canada in his youth, There he married Helen Wall on April 17, 1911. To this union were born three children, all of whom survive.


Approximately 16 years ago the Martens with their family moved to Dallas, where they have since resided.


Survivors, in addition to the widow, are two sons, Garnet Martens and Hardy Martens; a daughter, Pearl Martens; the mother, Mrs. Kathrine Martens; brothers, Fran Martens and Cornelius Martens; sister, Mrs. George Schroeder and Mrs. William Martens, all of Mountain Lake, Minnesota,

and a half-brother, Peter Martens of Bellingham, Washington.
