The Whiting Weekly News, Friday, Jan. 27, 1888:
Died on Thursday, Jan. 19, at Holton, Maggie Estes, wife of Killian Green, of lung trouble. The remains were interred in the Estes graveyard on Saturday. The deceased had not been sick very long and her death was unexpected. She has been long and favorably known in this community, and leaves a husband, a little child, and many friends to mourn her loss.
