Pearl Joyce Marler Steele, 75, died on October 9, 2008 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Pat Steele, after a courageous battle with Cancer.


She was born March 28, 1933 in Wapato, Washington, the daughter of Edwin and Ethel Stivers Marler. She married Ronald William Steele on November 6, 1954 in Yakima, Washington. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in June of 1956. Ron passed away on September 12, 1993. She later married Thomas P. McArthur of St. George, Utah on June 28, 1997. He passed away on November 4, 2005. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her greatest accomplishment was raising and supporting eight children. She served in various callings in the LDS Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.


Survivors include her three sons: Bill (Cindy) Steele, Jeff (Pat) Steele, Ren (Melissa) Steele; five daughters: Ronda (Karl) Rasmusseen, Terri (Brian) Condie, Angie (Reed) Murdoch, Kristi (Todd) Nemelka, Wendy (Wally) Cowan; brother, Albert Guist; sisters, Wanda Lynn, Marlene Landreth; 34 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 200 South 200 West. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street and on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: American Fork City Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Leeds Utah LDS Ward Chapel.
