Lee Robert McMillan was born January 3, 1927 in Heber City, Utah, to George McMillan and Pearl S. Sweat McMillan. He passed away peacefully on October 10, 2008.

He joined the Merchant Marines at the end of World War II at the age of 17. On January 2, 1946, he married the love of his life, Jean Baxter in the Logan Temple. They have three children, Paul (Jessie) of Perry, Utah; Brent (Laurie) of Burley, Idaho; and Karen (Brad) Tregeagle of Orem, Utah. He graduated from UVSC as an electrician which lead to his obtaining a journeyman electrician license. He worked in management for US Steel until his retirement in 1984. As a hobby he enjoyed farming, giving away his delicious corn, apples and peas. All his life he was active; from coaching little league to working at the Church Welfare Farm. Being an Eagle Scout himself, he was always involved in the Scouting program. Every year he looked forward to the fishing and hunting trips he would take with his sons, making sure he never got a shot off that would ruin the trip. He was an expert fisherman, fly fishing the Provo River almost every morning. Proud of all his family, he was also his grandchildren's biggest cheerleader.

He is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Carol (Finn) Murdoch, brother Ken (La Rae) McMillan and brother-in-law, William Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, George Jr. and Anna Rose Harris, his grandchildren Lisa McMillan Ward and Nate Tregeagle.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Windsor 2nd Ward Chapel, 60 East 1600 North, Orem.
