While attending Miami Edison High School she met William B. Leonard. They married 25 APR 1941. Bill worked for Dr Pepper in Miami after graduation. With the outbreak of WWII Bill enlisted the U S Navy. The couple moved to Key West for a time until Bill was shipped to the Marianna Islands & Saipan.
Upon Bill's return & discharge from the Navy the couple moved to Ft Lauderdale where Bill started his own business. Mildred was a housewife and active in her church over her lifetime. The couple had three children. Mildred passed away in her 90th year.
