Daniel ‘Danny’ Ray Stoner
Daniel “Danny” Ray Stoner, 54, of Gulfport, Ill., and formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 10, 1997, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Higdon officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation opens at 9 a.m. Sunday with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be left at the funeral home.
Stoner was born April 10, 1943, in Fairfield, the son of William Henry and Dorothy Helen Speer Stoner. He lived most of his life in the Fairfield community. He currently was manager of the Wayside Tavern in Gulfport. He married Gretchen Gabbert in January 1970. They were later divorced.
Survivors include four daughters, Roxie Kuehl, Missy and Sunny, all of Fairfield, and Natalie of Iowa City; one son, Billy of Iowa City; one grandson; and a brother, Jim of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The following information was inadvertently omitted from the obituary for Daniel Ray Stoner that was published Friday. He attended Fairfield High School. He also had worked at Dexter Company, and owned and operated the Parkway Lounge in Fairfield before moving to Gulfport, Ill.
