Jake Jordan, 81, Borger, died Saturday, April 13, 1996 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, and the Rev. Steve Miller, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

A native of Taylor County, he had been a Borger resident for 58 years. He was a retired traffic and shipping manager for J.M. Huber, Corp. Carbon Division. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and a World War II Army veteran serving in Europe.

He married Garnet Naylor on June 1, 1941 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Neal Jordan of Plano; a brother, Maurice Jordan of Pine Forest; a sister, Dorothy M. Beckman of Tyler; and two grandchildren.
