He was married to Hannah Sampson on 22 Jan 1761 in Plymouth, Massachusetts by Rev. Jacob Bacon.

They had 13 children: Hannah; Richard; Elizabeth; Priscilla; Joseph; Polly; George; Calvin; Esther; John; Lucia; Nancy and Calvin.

Capt. Richard Cooper was a Revoutionary War soldier. He was an officer in Capt. Benjamin Rider's Company, Col. Gamaliel Bradford's Regiment.
