Stephanie Marie Sprankle, of Gettysburg, departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly October 9, 2008.

She was the daughter of Lawrence K. and Sharon L. (Sterner) Sprankle of Fairfield.

Stephanie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield and a 1996 graduate of Fairfield High School. Following graduation, she worked at the YWCA of Gettysburg and was later employed with Hoffman Homes as a youth counselor. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman's Club and enjoyed traveling upstate to Driftwood.

She was a "people person" who enjoyed spending time with her friends and talking on the phone. She also enjoyed softball, pitching horseshoes, listening to the Dixie Chicks and singing karaoke.

In addition to her dear parents, Stephanie is survived by two brothers, Matthew B. Sprankle and wife Sharon of Gettysburg and Joseph P. Sprankle of Fairfield, four aunts, Corinne Weaver of Gettysburg; Bernadette Sterner of Gettysburg; Theresa Bean and husband Bill of Fairfield; Patricia Joy and husband Mike of Emmitsburg, MD, and three uncles, John Sprankle and wife Alice of Biglerville; Dave Sprankle and wife Margie of Biglerville and Allen Sprankle and wife Denice of Orrtanna and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Geneva Sprankle; maternal grandparents, Charles and Louetta Sterner; Uncle Charles Sterner and Uncle Richard Rohrbaugh.
