Albert Whitehead, 74, representative of the Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa, died suddenly Wednesday at 10:45 pm in his home.
Mr. Whitehead, accompanied by his wife, had driven to Gratiot on business during the day. He was apparently in his usual health when they returned home and was stricken while at work at his desk. He died an hour later.
Born Aug 25, 1873 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Wickliffe C. and Anna (Yount) Whitehead, he resided in this locality 66 years. Before his association with the insurance business several years ago, he engaged in farming.
Mr. Whitehead was a member of the Methodist Church of Pataskala, also a member of the Pataskala Lodge, F&AM; past patron of Wahneta chapter, Order of the Eastern Star: Knights of Pythias lodge of Pataskala and the Pythian Sisters.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Minnie (Grable) Whitehead; one daughter Mrs. Maebelle Osborn of Pataskala; three grandchildren, and three brothers, Oliver Whitehead of Winter Haven, Florida. Paul Whitehead of Degraff, Logan County and Dr. Andrew Whitehead of Jamestown, Ohio.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the Vinton D. Morrow funeral home conducted by Rev. E.R. Anthony and burial will be made in Pataskala Cemetery.
