Frank Heim, age 62, of Pataskala, died Tuesday March 5, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born September 13, 1939 in Yugoslavia to the late Anton & Katharina (nee Bartchich) Heim, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 12. He was retired from John Deere Co. in Columbus, and was a member of Etna United Methodist Church, where he served on many church councils and missions, including Missions Coordinator, Disaster Relief Missions, Prison Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan's Purse, East European Harvest, Amsterdam Mission, Outreach Mexico Mission, Promise Keepers, Appalachian Redbird Mission Camp, and was Lay Representative for the church district. Survived by his wife of 40 years Connie, sons and daughters-in-law Randy & Elaine Heim, Mark & Suzanne Heim, daughter and son-in-law Kelley & Ted Harvey, granddaughters Brittany Heim, Julianne Heim, Jessica Harvey, and mother-in-law Lucille Heimberger, all of Pataskala, Ohio. Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Ray Kane officiating. Interment Pataskala Cemetery.
