Soldier of the Revoluntionary War - Buried in Licking County, Ohio

Per the book titled, "1909 Centennial History of the City of Newark and Licking County Ohio", by E.M.P. Brister, Volume 1, on page 240: "Captain Samuel Elliott, born in Ireland in 1751, arrived in America in 1771, and enlisted in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, as captian Second company, Fifth battalion of militia, December 26, 1781. In 1800, he purchased land in this (Licking County, OH) of General Schenck, upon which he resided until the time of his death, which occurrec May 21, 1831. He married in Pennsylvania... Mrs. Dr. Noah Harris and Mrs. General J Taylor were daughters.
