Kathy Ann Eller Hurley Honeycutt, 55, 436 Willow Springs Road, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
She had lived her entire life in Carter County. Kathy was a 1970 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a beautician. She had owned and operated Super Hair on Elm Street, Elizabethton for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William & Margaret Large and Charles & Rose Eller and several aunts and uncles. Kathy was a member of East River Park Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband: James Ray Honeycutt. Two Daughters: Kela Hurley Collins and her fiancé Robert Poore, Piney Flats and Lindsey Hurley Elizabethton. A Son and his fiancé Dustin Hurley and Amber Pate, Johnson City. Her Parents: Charles M. and Virginia Large Eller, Elizabethton. Eight Grandchildren: Brittany Taylor, Jordan Collins, Caitlin Guinn, Jayden Hurley, and Taylor Collins, all of Elizabethton, Tyler Guinn, of the home, Leah and Alyssa Hurley, both of Johnson City.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. John H. Smith, Minister officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday will be: Kela Hurley Collins, Dustin Hurley, Robert Poore, Gary Snavely, Mitchell Honeycutt, Stanley Honeycutt, Cody Honeycutt and Eddie Eden. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Guinn, Jordan Collins, Bob McGreavey, Kendall Lewis and Bradley Honeycutt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
