Ruth was born Janie Ruth Barnes and married three times. David Walder Rutledge from Georgia was her first husband.They were married 26 Jan 1901 in Murray County,Georgia. David died in a coal mine explosion on the morning of March 20 1912 near McCurtain,Oklahoma.She married her second husband John Allen Coleman in Quinton,Oklahoma on July 4, 1912.The third marrage was James Michael (Jim) Harrington in Fort Smith,Arkansas on January 8,1927.--------Obituary - Mrs. Ruth Barnes Harrington,81,Stilwell,Okla. died Thursday after a long illness. Mrs. Harrington a former resident of Fort Smith was the widow of Jim Harrington. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two sons, B.A. Coleman of Stilwell, and Joe Rutledge of Okmulgee; a step-daughter, Mrs. Henryetta Reutzel of Muskogee, and two grand children. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fentress Chapel. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
