Wallace A. Fagan, 83, rural Havensville, was found dead Monday, April 22, in a creek about 1 ¾ miles north and 3 miles east of Soldier.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Mr. Fagan died from injuries he suffered when his pickup went on a bridge and struck a creek bank. He walked away from the scene but fall into the shallow creek. The road where the accident occurred had been closed for bridge work.
Mr. Fagan had been reported missing since Wednesday.
He was born Aug. 1, 1901, in Marshall County, the son of Frank and Theresa Volger Fagan.
He was married to Psyche Arganbright of Onaga on Dec. 1, 1939 at Alma. They have lived near Havensville since 1945. She survives.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Violet Van Horn, Willard.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at America City Cemetery near Havensville. Tessendorf Mortuary, Onaga, is in charge of arrangements.
