Troy earned his B.S. from Anderson University in 1989 and his MBA from the Falls School of Business in 1999. On the north side of the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the campus of Anderson University, a memorial tree was planted for him. Nearby, a memorial prayer garden was designed and planted for him by Greg Actis, AU's groundskeeper. Troy was survived by his wife Deborah and three children, Abby, Eli, and Noah.
