Macksville - Trellabelle Pike, 88, died Sunday, May 9, 1999, at the Terrace Garden Nursing Home, Wichita.
She was born Feb. 22, 1911, at Northbranch, the daughter of Fred J. and Huldah Craven McKinney. She was a homemaker and farmer and a resident of Wichita for a short time. From 1982 until early 1999 she resided in Macksville coming from Hopewell. She graduated from Rose Hill High School in 1929.
She was a member of the Haviland Kansas Friends Church, past member of Hopewell EHU, Friends Church Missionary Society and held various offices for the "Mid-America Yearly Meeting" of the Friends Church.
On Dec 11, 1929, she married Oscar Pike at Greensburg. He preceded her in death. Survivors include four brothers, one sister, five grand children, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Larraine Pike and two daughters, Pauline Phyllis Bevan and Lucille Lavonne Busby, and two brothers, Vaden and Paul McKinney.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, in the Grace United Methodist Church, Macksville, with the Rev. William Brigden presiding. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Minnis Chapel, Macksville.
