Funeral services for Mrs. Will Crabtree, 74, resident of the Kedron Community, were held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 10, at Kedron Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. A. J. Rollings, Athens, Ala., Church of Christ minister. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Mrs. Crabtree died at 8:15 o'clock on Tuesday night, March 8, at Giles County Hospital after a long period of declining health.
Born February 10, 1886, in Giles County, she was the former Miss Alice Wright, the daughter of the late Josh Wright and Sallie Whitehead Wright, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband, Will Crabtree, died October 1, 1958.
Mrs. Crabtree is survived by two sons, Ernest E. Crabtree, Kedron and Algie Crabtree, Mulberry, Fla.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. W. A. Glover, Athens, Ala.; and one brother, Eugene Wright, Kedron.
