Last Sad Rites

The funeral services of the late Mrs. J. B. Brownback were held at the family residence at 10 o'clock this morning; and were conducted by Rev. Teis, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The services were very impressive, all who were present being greatly affected as this death was a particularly sad one. Mrs. Brownback had lived among us since the early days of Anadarko and was respected and loved by all who knew her. She was of a quite unassuming disposition, and during her illness exhibited rare qualities of patient endurance. the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to the husband who is bereft of a companion and to the children, who through all but two have homes of their own, have not yet outgrown their need of a mother's love and tender sympathy. By the death of this loving, patient woman, a void is created in the home and in the hearts of her family, which can never be filled. those whose hearts ache when they look back to the time "when mother died" and those whose hearts give a frightened throb when the thought comes to them that they, also, will one day be called upon to give mother up, alone can realize what these days of sorrow mean to the Brownback family.

Deceased was born in Terre Haute, Ind., Aug. 1, 1945 and died at her home in Anadarko Wednesday morning, Nov. 16, 1904. She was a model wife and mother and led an exemplary Christian life, the remembrance of which is indescribably precious to those who are left to mourn her loss.

Card of Thanks

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbors for their many kind acts and words of sympathy during our great sorrow, the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Nancy Brownback. The help and consolation extended to us in our time of sorrow will ever be cherished by us as the one ray of light in a time of sadness and gloom. May all those whose tender sympathy helped us to bear our great sorrow, also find faithful friends in their time of need.
Signed, J. B. Brownback and Family.
