Mr. Bunch was a son of Robert Michael Bunch and Jeanette Melfi Bunch.
Joe attended Summerville High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Department with over 20 years of service. He worked for the Dorchester School District Two as a former crossing guard and currently as district courier and loved the school district and devoted his life to it. He always took time to stop and talk to anyone he came upon. Joe never met a stranger.
Surviving are a sister Mary Ann McKinney and husband James of Delaware; a brother Robert Michael Bunch; a son, Tracy Bunch Myers and wife Melinda of Hartsville; and two granddaughters, Melissa Myers, Stephanie Smith; and a great-grandson, David Smith.
