Chas. M. Boutwell
Charles M. Boutwell was born January 1, 1840, in the state of Illinois, and died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles Penn Saturday, Nov. 19 1921, at the age of 81 years 10 months and 19 days. Mr. Boutwell was a member of the Methodist church, at eh age of 21 years, he was united in marriage to Leona Weller, he served in the Civil was in the Union Army and was the last left of his regiment. The last three years of his life was spent with his daughter of South Towner, Colo. The funeral services were held at the home on Monday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Garner. A mixed quartet, composed of Wirt Bailey and Willard Clapper, Mrs. J. A. Schweers and Mrs. A. H. Thomas, gave several appropriate numbers.
After the services the body was taken to its final resting place in the Towner cemetery. Three daughters Mrs. Charles Penn of Towner; Mrs. I.W.D. Brown of Big Timber, Montana; and Mrs. Myrtle Ricks of Ellis Kans.; and two sons, Mr. A. M. Boutwell of Mayline, Wash.; and A. V. Boutwell of Springfield, Ill.; are left to mourn his untimely death.
