Frank was the son of James Irving and Gertrude (Smith) Overmier. He married Zora V. Murry. A graduate of the former Bowling Green State Normal College, Frank was an elementary and junior high school mathematics teacher in the city of Oregon and Liberty Center for 32 years. He was also a Liberty Center volunteer fireman and a trustee for Liberty Township for 28 years. (Thanks to Marilyn Crum for this information.)
