WINTER RESIDENT DIES HERE UNEXPECTEDLY
Mrs. Leidy Christy Ehler, 71, winter resident of Southern Pines for the past 15 years, died here suddenly Wednesday, September 19, following a brief illness.
Burial took place in the Mount Home Cemetery.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Christy of Philadelphia, PA., where Mrs. Ehler was born, she was the wife of H. B. Ehler of New York state. Mr. and Mrs. Ehler spent summers in New York state, but have come to Southern Pines for the past 15 winters for Mr. Ehler's health.
