Josh, age 24, was the son of Doug and Mary (Bly) Shannon. He was adopted by Marvin and Jane (Bly) Elliott. He graduated from Chanute High School.
Survivors include his birth mother, his adoptive parents, his siblings, Rose Kass, Ellen Shannon, Charles Bly, Mike Engstrom, Brandon Shannon, and Jason Mulvihill, and his grandparents, Ray and Wanda Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Shannon, and his grandparents, Doris and Alfred Bly.
Funeral services were held at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery.
