Ruth Marie Jarrett, 87, was the daughter of Henry and Elsie Vielhak Albrecht. She married James I. Jarrett in June 1938 in Bloomington, Illinois. He died September. 17, 2001, in Normal, Illinois.
She is survived by her her children, Trish Johnston, Pam (Emil) Ludy, James (Jill) Jarrett, Dave (Julie) Jarrett, Va.; and Nancy (Roger) Shoup, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Sholty,.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett and Roy.
Ruth worked many years in food service at Illinois State University and was a member of AFSCME and of Eastview Christian Church.
