SARASOTA, FLA. - Veronica Mangan Clark, age 81, died on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003. She was born in Beresford, S.D., on Sept. 15, 1921, and moved to Sarasota from Madison, Wis., in June 1985. Veronica was the daughter of Mark and Esther (Manning) Mangan. She married Alto B. (Al) Clark on Sept. 9, 1944, in Pensacola, Fla. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1995. Veronica was an active member of The American Needlework Guild and The Embroidery Guild of America., Mrs. Clark is survived by three daughters, Anne, Emily and Susan, who reside in Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Ben and Molly Anderson of Colorado, and Ross Anderson, who is serving aboard the USS Kitty Hawk out of Yokosuka, Japan; sisters, Marcia Geppert of Bryan, Texas, and Therese Dyer of San Clemente, Calif. Her oldest daughter, Kathy Stormer, preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1990. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Gerald Mangan and Leonard Mangan; and two sisters, Mary Katherine (Mary K.) Mangan and Delores (Dee) Mangan. Interment will be in BUSHNELL NATIONAL CEMETERY, Bushnell, Fla., at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
