SALT LAKE/GUNNISON--Dale Westenskow Sorensen, 84, of Salt Lake, died December 31, 1998 in Salt Lake City.
She was born January 17, 1914 in Manti, Utah to Julius Westenskow and Lillius Chapman. She married Joseph Leo Sorensen in 1931 in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a strong woman who had been active and worked up until just a few weeks ago.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Wendell) Payne of Rose Park; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; sister, Gwena (Farrell) Olsen of Richfield, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sorensen; parents; sons, Morris Joseph and Evan Kay Sorensen; one great great-grandson; one sister and seven brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 1999 at 12 noon in the Centerfield LDS Church. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the direction of the Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home.
