Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Harold Adams, 77, were held on 17 June 1995 at the Leadore LDS Church in Leadore, Idaho, with Bishop Kurt Bird conducting. Mr. Adams passed away 14 June 1995 from an accidental drowning in Timber Creek. He was born 22 July 1917 in Shelley, Idaho, the oldest son of Joseph H. and Maude McBride Adams. He grew up and after a short time in the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area the family moved to the Lemhi Valley where they worked on area ranches. in 1941, Bob married Opal Whittaker in Salmon, Idaho. They made their home for two years on the Cottom Ranch west of Leadore. In 1943, the family moved to the Leadore Angus Ranch two miles south of Leadore. Bob made his life work at ranching where he raised purebred Angus cattle, sheep, Shire work horses and saddle horses as well as the usual assortment of farm animals. Bob had the distinction of having a Historic Angus Herd. He was in the registered Angus business for over 50 years. In 1982 he was inducted into the Eastern Idaho Agricultural Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Opal; two sons, Chet of Firth, Idaho and Ted of Lemhi, Idaho; one daughter, Opal Fay of Elko, Nevada; one brother and two sisters, Keith Adams and Gerry McLaughlin of Spokane, Washington and Betty Jean Hansen of Shelley, Idaho; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Burial took place in the McRea Cemetery in Leadore, Idaho under the direction of Jones & Casey Funeral Home of Salmon.
