Ruby Williamson Walton, 93, a homemaker, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, at The Gardens of Bay Towers in Pascagoula. Services are 10:30 a.m. today at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia with burial in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County. The Rev. Byrd Hillman and Rev. Barry Skelton will be officiating.
Mrs. Walton was a native of the Wheatfield Community of Neshoba County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Walton; her parents, John and Frances Williamson; brothers, Lloyd, Darris, Lamberth, and Hobert; and sister, Beatrice Nicholson.
Survivors include: sons, Gerald Walton and wife Julie of Oxford, Johnny Walton and wife Bobbie of Pascagoula; sisters, Olna Carter of Iuka, Martha Nell Guisinger of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren, Katherine Hudspeth and husband Brent of Decatur, Ga., Dorothy Laurenzo and husband John of Oxford, Margaret Seicshnaydre and husband Leo of Gulfport, Jay Walton and wife Stephanie of Nashville, Tenn., and Jeff Walton of Williamsburg, Ky.; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Ms. Cole Arthur, 13001 Road 210, Union, MS 39365 or the Hospice of Light, 2105 Old Spanish Trail, Gautier, MS 39553.
