He was preceded in death by his wives, Helen Adele Yarborough Hart, on September 18, 2001, the mother of his children, and Linda Bowman Hart; his parents, Robert Williams "Bert" Hart & Adeline Brunson Hart.
Survivors include two children and their spouses, Jody Brunson Hart & Teena Hart, Lexington, SC and Sandra Denise Hart Steele & Dan Steele, Summerville, SC; brothers and wives, Robert Williams & Becky Hart, Hickory, NC, Trapier Keith & Betty Hart, Greenville, SC, David Lomax & Pat Hart, Tryon, NC, and Carroll Jones & Sandy Hart, Taylors, SC, and two grandchildren. Also surviving are three stepchildren, and seven step grandchildren.
