Hugh Bond Wilson, 46, West Mountain, died Friday June 23, 2000 at the sheep range area West of Eureka as a result of a horse accident.

Hugh was born Dec. 13, 1953, in Heber City, UT to Merla Bond Wilson and Vern Wilson. He has two brothers, Jay and Don, and one sister Marie (deceased).

He grew up in Midway, UT, attending elementary school, jr. high, and graduating from Wa-satch High School and LDS Seminary. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Utah State University and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business.

He met his wife while attending Utah State University and married Diane Jensen in the Ogden LDS Temple on Aug. 12, 1977.

Hugh completed a mission in Portland, OR, and he served in many church callings including executive secretary, Blazer Scout leader, Elders Quorum President, and was currently serving as a stake missionary with Diane in the West Mountain Third Ward.

Hugh enjoyed owning and managing the family sheep business with his sons, brother, and father. He was known and loved by many, a friend to all who knew him, a dedicated and hard worker who will never be forgotten.

Hugh's greatest loves were first his family, second water skiing at Lake Powell, and third sharing the out-of-doors with his sons. His finest traits were genuinely caring for family and friends and his honesty was never questioned.

He leaves his wife, Diane; five sons, Brad, Brian, Keith, Craig, Austin; his father, Vern; and two brothers, Jay and Don (Nicole) Wilson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. June 27, at the West Mountain Third Ward, three miles West of Payson on Utah Ave. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary 7-9 p.m. Mon. and 9:45-10:45 a.m. Tues. at the church. Internment, Midway City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
