Wyoming County Herald, Arcade, NY, May 21, 1909
May Sutton, only daughter of Asa and Jennie Sutton, sister of Edward Sutton, of Buffalo, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Sweetapple of Protection, died at her home in Buffalo, May 4th, 1909, after a brief illness, interment at Protection cemetery.
She will be greatly missed by all who know her for her kind loving disposition. Her happy girlish life budding into womanhood has been transplanted into a fairer garden where it will blossom into greater beauty than is possible in this world of uncertainties. There is nothing in this world we can call our own. Our children are only loaned us for a little while and when God takes them he is taking his own into a brighter better life where there is no parting and sadness, where we shall all meet in the beautiful life beyond.
